On Thursday the 13th June, 10 young people from Herts College came to the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden to visit CrewHQ for a Master Class with producer Damian Anderson, who shared practical filmmaking tips with them. They also got a tour and an inside look at a real life film studio. The students were selected as part of the “Every Child a Filmmaker” programme created by Film education charity, Into Film.
The initiative aims to offer a transformative experience to children and young people by giving them the opportunity to work closely with professionals to learn the creative and technical filmmaking skills they need to tell their stories, bringing new perspectives and unheard voices to the screen.
The students will pull together a short film with support from mentors at Chocolate Film and their finished piece will be presented at the Film Festival on the 20th August. We are so proud to be a sponsor of this initiative and can’t wait to see their final project.
