On the 3rd September, CrewHQ hosted a Career’s Day at the Hamyard Hotel to celebrate the release of The Conjuring: Last Rites. Attendees were treated to an exclusive early screening of the film before hearing from the creatives behind the epic conclusion to the iconic horror franchise in Q&A session that was live streamed. Lunchtime served up some delicious food and the perfect opportunity for networking. In the afternoon, attendees broke up into groups for some eye-opening workshops led by our fantastic panel, covering costume design, production design, and SFX, giving aspiring filmmakers invaluable insight into these departments.

We wrapped up the day by giving prospective applicants to the CrewHQ trainee programme a chance to hear from alumni and have their questions answered. Highlights from the event were posted on our Instagram stories throughout the day to showcase what future attendees can expect from a CrewHQ Careers Day.
